It's an automated procedure for members to apply for hosting accounts.
You still have to go into the WHM and create the account.
If you do not offer cPanel I can remove any instance of it and give you the files.
If you use another control panel besides cPanel tell me the URL to access it and I'll edit the files and send them to you.

Yes. I wanted to automatically create the hosting account but if you had a user register multiple times they could make multiple accounts.

It could be done but not that well.
You can set up how many posts the user needs then leave the fields below it blank.

I have taken screen shots of the 2.0.0 interface here (http://xenweb.net/forums/product.php?do=features). Almost everything from the screen shot of "Usergroup Permissions" to "Hosting Options" is not available in vHosting v1.0.1

Discovered another error. When you accept or decline an application, the links are not removed. If you click on accept or decline again, it will send another PM to the applicant and also add another '[Accepted]' or '[Declined]' to the thread title. Screenshot attached.

Yes - I rebuilt everything.

Note: We had to use a customised product file to work with our server PHP.
An example is:

I've always rebuilt it. I did everything I was told to.

I can change and save other admin permissions, but if I try to change hosting and save it. It doesn't save.
It just goes back to No as default.

I don't have a license to redistribute cPanel.

To clear things up most hosting web site use a "Web Hosting Manager" to create accounts, not cPanel.

I don't plan on coding it but if I come across a way to do it I might consider it.

In order to create an account via the api you have to have the access key. You find this by logging into whm and go to the section Cluster/Remote Access and click setup Remote Access Key. You will be presented with the current key to allow your script to create the accounts.

In your vHosting script that would need to be in a settings section for users to edit as well as the $user variable which is the whm user they are using to create the account with.

I would also suggest to have your script have the option for the admins to restrict users appling for a package to use only a subdomain which could be turned on or off. I personally would restrict users to only a subdomain basically like advertising and such. If that is already an option sorry for posting as I have not installed this yet until the automation is coded but will click install for ya and myself to keep and eye on this.

Open hosting.php
Search For:

You can uninstall the product and reimport it again. directions on uninstalling are in instructions.html, on the last row.

I'm still looking for the changed between the public release and the retail release...I must be missing something... The public is featured locked but it has a lot to offer.
I'll be adding recurring posts system soon. This will force the user to post X times in a week or the administrator will be informed about the user. The admin can then go ahead and warn the user or delete the hosting account.

The retail version has usergroup permissions.
You can select which usergroups can request, upgrade, change datails, or view the list of hosted users.

I got the "MySQL Error : Table 'hosting_plans' already exists" error and this was after I waited 1 hr when "importing [:]" just stayed there.

I edited the .xml file to remove the database querys after I verified they were in the database.
I reinstalled the edited .xml allowing for an overwrite and now everything is ok.

Working good on 3.6.1

My main problem was the importing screen holding for quite some while.

Yes. I'm not the good at regex so I created a checkbox named "Ignore Subdomain Extension". When someone types "mysite.com" they tick the checkbox.

Not in the free version. In the paid version each usergroup has permission to request, upgrade, change, or view all the hosted users (kind of like a member list page). You can user the subscriptions so users have to pay to be moved into an usergroup that can request hosting.

How did you manage to do this?

On the paid version you can go into the usergroup manager, select 'Registered Users', and set "Can Request Hosting", and Can Upgrade Hosting" to "No". Edit your secondary usergroup and set "Can Request Hosting", and Can Upgrade Hosting" to "Yes".

My weak point is my documentation. When I try to write any type of tutorial or directions I try to cut it short which is not good for someone who is new to the subject. Small problem, when I submit a test request for hosting, it goes through ok, I click accept in the thread, which works to, but I don't get a PM with my hosting details?

Any idea why?

It's setting up the hosting account via WHM, but sets the disk quota to "Unlimited", as opposed to the figure I put in
Also, when trying to delete a hosting account via the user search bit, it kept timing out and the error had http://xenweb.net:2086/ in it
I searched the hosting.php file and found the two entries which pointed to another whm (http://xenweb.net:2086/scripts2/dolimitbw?user=".$hp)
Changed it to my own domain and it no longer timed out
But, even though it says it's been deleted, the account remains in whm and doesn't work either, although 'im wondering if that's a WHM issue?

You don't need a remote access key. I accidentally hard-coded my own domain name into the code to testing purposes. I'll release a fix soon.

It's setting up the hosting account via WHM, but sets the disk quota to "Unlimited", as opposed to the figure I put in
Also, when trying to delete a hosting account via the user search bit, it kept timing out and the error had http://xenweb.net:2086/ in it
I searched the hosting.php file and found the two entries which pointed to another whm (http://xenweb.net:2086/scripts2/dolimitbw?user=".$hp)
Changed it to my own domain and it no longer timed out
But, even though it says it's been deleted, the account remains in whm and doesn't work either, although 'im wondering if that's a WHM issue?
I hard-coded my own domain name into the code for testing purposes and forgot to change it. I'll release a fix soon.

I think I found what was causing the problem. I'm testing it to see if it works.

I have fixed a few things in 1.3.1. I replaced the hard-coded URL's and the problem with incorrect data being sent to WHM in the code.

If you are running 1.3.0 the only file you have to upload is "hosting.php".
You can upload the product XML as well to overwrite the version number in the phrases.

I have a question. You can set the usergroups to move the user into when you either accept or decline their request. Right now this version overwrites the usergroupid which will change the user's primary usergroup. Would you rather have the user be placed into a secondary usergroup?

Secondary would be best, because if you have a staff member in the lead mod/mod/admin group who requests a hosting plan, won't that boot them from staff?

Also, I still get the same problem with it not setting up the correct disk space allocation.

Just taking a look at this but i cannot see in my usergroups where to set the permissions, it aint there, I have rebuilt the bitfields many times, I have checked the files and there all in the right place on the server, Any ideas please?

Found it by accident, I went to add a new plan and it said to update the admin permissions, it too me to that page and i have now activated the permission..

I was looking in the admin usergroup to change it but that was the wrong place, sorry :o

I have made a minor update regarding "accepted" and "declined" users.
If you have configured the "Accepted" and "Declined" users within the vHosting Settings all the users who are accepted or declined will be moved into a secondary usergroup as opposed to a primary usergroup.

I should say that the it only creates and terminates accounts with WebHost Manager.
You can still use this with Plesk, Confixx, or any other control panel but you'll need to manually handle accounts.

You aren't be able to do automated tasks. You can still use this hack but you'll have to create and terminate accounts manually.

Log into your WHM. In the URL below change "yoursite.com" (twice) with the site you use to log into WHM.

If it gives you an error then we know why it doesn't automatically create the accounts.

Do change the order you have to edit hosting.php. To change the text "cPanel 9" to "cPanel 11" edit the "hosting_features" phrase.

My forum is in a different server, I can see connection from forum server to cpanel server, but account is not created, there is not any error messages.

Go into your Admin CP --> Forums & Moderators --> Forum Permissions
On the forums for hosting requests click "Deny All" then click "Edit" on the usergroup(s) that can view the forums. Click on "All Yes" and save.

Umm yeh, maybe you should visit his community and realize he isnt around over their either, Im not where he is, but Im sure its because he is busy with life.

Anyone have this working with cPanel 11? I have this installed on 3.7 and it works fine except it is not creating the accounts with cPanel, I can run the code manually in the address bar in my browser with the information and it creates the account fine, but the program on vB is not running it it seems.
