how do I add a colum to the homepage?

I want to add another module to the homepage of www.zuney.net

As you can see ia am using the vBadvance cmps add-on for my homepage. I want to add a module where I can place an advertisement, on the top left of the screen. Can anyone help/guide me into how to do this?
