I uploaded a few skins to my board and the buttons is missing, what am I doing wrong?

You probably didn't upload them to the proper directory.

Go to your AdminCP -> Styles and Templates -> Style Manager -> Choose "StyleVars" in the Dropdown next to the Style you Installed -> Scroll down to Image Paths and compare the Paths set there to where you uploaded the images.

thanx--okay i got it! but, all the buttons and reputation bars are missing? how do i fix that!

The same problem you had with the other images is still probably the issue. Verify all your Image Paths -- wherever you see those Red X Boxes indicating a broken image; Right Click them and go to Properties, there you can see where the board is trying to get the image from -- then you can upload the images to that directory.
