Here is the first modification I've done for the Infraction system. Figure it best to release them here and allow you to test them out. This is potential code to go into 3.6.1

This will display a ban message for users that have been banned via infractions. Banned via infractions means that they have an infraction group that is set as a banned group. I'll post other modifications that I make if they are not too involved.

Will they also show up in the Banned Users list in the Admin CP? Would be great if they also got added to coventry automatically too so you don't have to delete all their posts.

No, I haven't got to that section yet and I doubt I would post those changes.

It would be nice to have this for any usergroup they get moved into.

"You have been demoted due to..."

or

"You have been caged due to..." (our site is about cages).

With the message configurable by user group.

Our demoted user groups place a member on moderation prior to banning them. We do this more often than banning.

Thanks.

Smart idea for a mod, though I have one question. If someone gets a warning that expires in a month, but he's banned because of it, will the ban error tell him he that the ban expires in a month?

that happened to me too. you need to select the "Front-end Error Messages" type when you create the phrase, not the default GLOBAL.
I think this should be added in the install guide file.

 It says to add an error message and "Error Messages" is where error messages go.

not to nitpick, but if you search alphabetically you don't see "ERROR MESSAGES" in the dropbox. There are dozens and dozens of choices, and why guess?

change the instructions or not... that is up to you. i thank you for the mod but please realize two of us posting in this thread (12 posts) made this mistake.

is there any way that you guys would consider to move the users to an usergroup not only to evaluate the permissions?

Because, for example, I have a special forum witch only banned users can view and post and the permissions are set to no for reg users. When an user is banned the permissions for that usergroup are set to yes (view, posting, etc.) but if an user is banned after receving multiple warnings the avaluations of permissions gives out the NO permission result witch is not a valid solution for me because I want banned users to see that forum...

I couldn't either find 'nopermission_banned_infractions'. Can someone tell me where it is?
