Hi everyone,
I now own street-stylers-southwest.co.uk

I have had to ban the old webmaster and his gf as they are causing too much trouble. I have banned his ip address that he uses at work and from home. I also have 1 registration per ip address mod on my forum too. I have editted the config so his user isnt in there however he still seems to get round it. Any ideas on how i can get round this as it is annoying.

Thanks

If he has any technical knowledge, whatsoever, he's probably smart enough to use a proxy or change his IP. You could try the Miserable Users hack to discourage him, use Paul's Proxy IP to Real IP Hack, or the Troll-Tracker hack.

Yes but it seems he is unbanning himself which is rather worrying

Is his IP still in the Banned IPs List?

Then he's not Unbanning himself -- he's getting around the ban, just as I said above.

Are you sure he is unbanning himself ? if he is then he has a backdoor access somewhere.

He has created an Admin-level account that allows him to change user access... If you have banned him at the user level as well as at the IP level...

Anyway, get the Real IP conversion tool it helps as the anonymous servers are problematical at best and he'll run out of energy trying to find ones that work... At some point they get bored. Check for Admin access and Mod access and set them to miserable user if they are not approved users.

Yeah, login as a super Admin and remove his access to the vBulletin accounts. I would simply move the account into miserable users and remove all other power to it. He'll login and won't be able to get anywhere he wants to go...

To check how many users have Admin access go to the Usergroup Manager and look at the Admin Group... It will show a count of those that are directly Admins (Under Primary Users) and those that have access through the check-boxes on their User Account page (Under Additional Users)...

If he has created an Admin-power account it will be shown there...

Under the Usergroup area in your ACP You'll see Admin Permissions... Click there next... (Only SuperAdmins can access this...)

This will list each user with Admin access with an "Edit Permissions" link next to them...

Take off all users that you do not know to have Admin access by simply removing all Admin access on their User Page in the ACP...
