This mod has been made obsolete by it's inclusion in the main mod, version 2.80. As such this add-on is no longer supported
This is the "real" Top X Activity add-on for the Activity Modification (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=93831) version 2.7 or greater. Unlike LiveWire's mod, this one will ensure that the data displayed is up-to-date for today.
It should be noted that this means that this mod will cause a significant load spike the first time it is accessed for a day, depending on how many users your forum has and how active they are. Each day, the list is cached, and sub-sequent requests for the page pull from the cached data and cause minimal load. Optimizations are in place to reduce the load placed on the server after the first day by determining which users have a chance of making it into the list and only calculating activity for those users.
The reason that this add-on is in beta is to ensure that those optimizations are correct. I ask that those that install this mod access
activitystat.php?oldway=1
from time to time (every few days) and compare it to just
activitystat.php
and make sure they match, reporting in this thread if they do not.
For the beta, only the top 10 are available to better evaluate the optimizations. At release, this will be expanded to the top 100.
To install, upload activitystat.php, and create the templates WWU002statbit and WWU002statpage from the text files of the same name.
