So now that VB 3.6 has put the last nail in my vbadvanced gallery cofin I find I suddenly need a new gallery.
What are people using instead? Are there any that will allow me to import my vba gallery images?

There are not really any other good gallerys out there that intergrate into vBulletin and are as good as vBGallery. Personally I would have stayed with the earlier version of vBulletin for the sake of the gallery working fine.

Why not use vBGallery for 3.6? Works fine.

If your are refering to PhotoPhost vBGallery, well then my morals prevent me from buying stolen goods.

I had already bought it from Brian though, and I owned the branding free license from him, so they haven't gotten any money from me. I'm good for another year or so of updates.

My updates ran out in Janurary. I told them flat out I would not change the branding to PhotoPost and they had no legal grounds to make me do so.
I made the code work. I had to change the phrase search and reinstall the templates and reset all the permissions.
By refusing to support their product they've violated any licence agreement I had so I could give a flying flip about branding now.

Yeah, luckily for me I already owned the branding free, so I didn't have to change to their copyright. I just got an automatic 1 year extension.

As I understood it the changing of the copyright (for branding versions) within the 90 days as requested by PhotoPost in exchange for 1 year of free updates was reasonable.

If he ever gets an import script for vBGallery, that'll probably be the one I go to.

I'm running vbadvanced gallery 1.0.1 vb3.5 on my 3.6 right now. just required a bit of file and small db changes to get it working. :) I also refuse to upgrade (for omfg $40 / yr) from aei.
they made the choices clear a long time ago:
#1) change to ppgallery copyright and get support
#2) don't change anything and get no support
#2 ftw!

Without hijacking this thread, could someone point me to somewhere where I can read more about this copyright change?

the offer is long since expired: http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123556
and 'the notice must be changed' only refers to if you want support from them.
new license: $59
1 yr access: $40
