Do you need the $session[sessionurl_q] in links?

I was just wondering if there was any reason to keep the $session[sessionurl_q] at the end of links on a forum... for example:
http://yoursite.com/memberlist.php$session[sessionurl_q]

What exactly does that do?

It is for members who don't use cookies to store their session information, if you don't include it, they will be logged out and treated as a guest on that page.

Generally, what is the percentage of online users which would not have cookies activated?
