Only way that I can see would be to write a plugin to run when a page is opened and set the userid to be X

where X has been configured in advance with permissions to the forums - could be a big security risk here tho and you have to ask - why do you want google to index forum content when that content should be hidden from non-members

If the Google Bot is being shown as a Spider in online.php -- then the mod is working.

What is the point in allowing google to index the site if guests cannot read it - people will then just view the content via googles cache and not bother visiting you at all.

As You See it is being shown. But cant see showthread. In Member Bots Plugin Page https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=108070 says..

"This is handy if your site allows limited access to guests, but full access to registered users. By default, a search engine robot would only be allowed to index what a guest could see, but with this mod, it would allow them to fully index your site as a registered user."

is it working now?

You do know that google caches what it sees ? You can view the cached version of the page and hence not actually follow the link to the site.

You could use robots.txt and instruct it to not archive.
