where is the icon at in the navbar? if so you need to add that to your Replacements (billspaypal.php) in vbadvanced in the admincp.

i added the code that puts the donate icon right next to welcome user.

it works fine on forum page, but not on vbadvanced home page(404 error).

and i'm not quite sure what exactly i need to do with adding to my replacements?

and also i attempted to upload donations.module and i got a my sql error?

ok...i just fixed it by putting in the full url to the forum paypal donate into the navbar template.

that works, but if there is a better way to do i would definitely like to know.

the paypal module is different you have to upload it through download/upload modules.

makes no sense...it appears on the page and in the page source code, but it is not in the navbar template or the paypal templates.

i don't want to delete the product, but i want to delete the "Donate" link on my navbar.

You could try doing the template edit manually rather than automaticly.
That way you can adjust it exactly as you would like it.

Now that you have pointed it out I notice that my site its a touch to the left as well.
I will have a look at the auto edit and make sure I havent missed anything.

Just had a look at the product xml file and noticed I have added a couple of spaces on the right of the default phrase, which will move the centering out a tad.

I will fix the xml when I get a chance, but for a quick fix now just edit the Product_Bills_PayPal_Donate.xml file and reimport it with overwrite selected.

Current plan is
- that the donor will be able to choose if they are listed or just anonomyous in their User CP.
- Admin can set show donors, show donors and amount, show nothing (these are subject to donor choosing show status in their User CP.)

Oh I see.....
I didnt update the CMPS module when I added the new currencies so it defaults to USD :o

I will have to add the new currencies to the module.

Till then the quick fix is to edit the currency <if condition.... lines in the CMPS module and change them to use the currency code you like.

for example after this<if condition="$vboptions['billspp_currency'] == '5'"> <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD" /> </if>
add
<input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="NOK" />
will force the currency code to be submitted as NOK

Only thing I can suggest is to make sure all plugins were removed when you uninstalled it.
They would be the plugins that begin with "Bills Paypal".

The plugin called "Bills Paypal Donations" adds stuff to one of the cached templates when active so I spose it could affect any other customisation you have done.

However, if that plugin is removed or inactive its definatly not the cause, as it does nothing permenent, only affects the cache while its running.

1.32.366 is now available for download.

1.32.366 is simply version 1.32 modified to make use of the new template hooks that were implemented from vB 3.6.6 onwards.

If your 1.32 version is working fine there is no need to upgrade.

The benefit of this version is that it should be more likely to work on boards with modified templates and styles, and much more likely to continue to work when new versions on vB are released.

Please note that vB 3.6.6 is the absolute minimum requirement for 1.32.366 to work.
People using vb3.6 to vb3.6.5 beed to use the attached 1.32 zip.

You need to add the images in there in that case.

You can change the phrase if your using another language.

I'm using 1.31 still. I had my first donation today, but the guy that donated never received an email from PayPal and I didn't recieve an email from PayPal either. I only found out about the donation because he emailed me asking if I received the money. Is this normal? From experience with ebay and other things, PayPal always sends out info on transactions that are done.

Also, is there a way to make it so that the person who donates has his name shown on the donate page please?

To pay via PayPal, the customer has to click once to submit and a second time to confirm.

People who don't use PayPal a lot often forget that second click. In that case, you won't get a notification because the transaction was never completed.

Those emails are not something that this mod has any influence over.
Those email options are set by an individuals own PayPal preferences, so both of you not getting them woud be a PayPal issue.

yeah Ill stick with my old version or hopefully you can shut it off in admincp cause that ain't needed since it can be done when they send the donation via paypal. my thoughts would be why waste time coding that when other more important things can be added donation goals, who donated, etc.

Im not sure If PayPal allow you to change your language when you register to a specific country or not.
A Way around it may be to set up another PayPal account under PayPal UK, or just PayPal.com and select Euro as your default currency there.

Are you using a custom skin? If so, you need to put the images in the images/misc folder for that particular skin.

Also, a module or something where you can set a goal to achieve and have it update it as people donate would be nice.

Both are things that I could do manually, but it would be nice to be integrated! :)

I'm looking for reliability, latest vBulletin compatability, regular updates as well as vBa CMS integration.

That's true, to a point. It means that the developer will attempt to help you with any problems or conflicts you have in installing or using the add-on.

But many of the add-ons available at vBulletin.org are simple enough that they really don't need much in the way of support. And even if the author doesn't indicate that s/he will provide support, there are often many others who will.

I don't have a clue if it's possible, but an end user drop down box to select currency, when donating, would be really useful.

I also sell stuff that have shipping charges associated with them. Every time one of my members wanted to make a donation, shipping charges would be added by PayPal. I would then have to go in and refund the shipping to the user. This was a big Pain in the A$$!!!

If this is happening to you, here is an easy fix:

In template billspp_main, find this code:
<input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="$payfor" />

Right below that add this:
<input type="hidden" name="no_shipping" value="1">

A pretty simple fix for a really aggravating problem. Hope this helps someone.

I installed this hack under a fresh 3.6.8 version of vb (hack free). When it was installed, per the instructions, I had configured the hack to display the logo in the right side of the header....no go....then I went back into the configuration and told it to then display the hyperlink on the top menu bar....no go.

So, refered to the troubleshooting portion and went into my navbar myself and inputted the hyperlink manually. The hyperlink is now visible and the hack is working accordingly, however I had to manually do this. I would like to get the graphic logo link to work.

Thoughts why this hack didn't install/work properly?

Upload the images to your skin's misc directory, eg http://www.yoursite.com/SKINSTYLE/misc/

For the navbar, you'll need to disable the auto edit, and manually edit the navbar template, putting in http://www.YOURSITE.com/forum/billspaypal.php? (http://www.extremepixels.com/forum/billspaypal.php?) for the address.

It's the same sort of thing as before, you'll need to disable the auto edit and do it yourself.

Open up your navbar template and put;

<!-- / breadcrumb, login, pm info -->Hope that helps :).

EDIT:

If you don't know how to edit templates
1. Log into your Admin CP
2. Look for Styles & Templates then Search In Templates
3. Search for Text <!-- / breadcrumb, login, pm info --> (Search Titles Only set to "No")
4. Select the navbar template and hit either "Edit" or "Customise".
5. The search text should already be put in, so just hit "Find"
6. Paste the code after it, editing it to your website.
7. Hit "Save".

You'll need to do that for all styles you have.

That method gave me an extra paypal icon/button thing slightly higher up the page, so I took your line of code and swapped it for the similar line that I already had at the bottom of the template and that worked.
