I installed this very nice hack but I have a small problem. Every two or three days the statistics especially for flashchat are reset and it tells me : most ever chatters '1.1.1970 at 2 pm' or something like that.
Any ideas why ?

Paul M

You have something installed that is resetting the stats - as I recall there is a faulty CMPS module that does this.

By the looks of things, this will show everyone who has posted, is there a way to only show the stats and not he people who actually posted, unless maybe show it on a different page as an option, as I dont want to list over a 1000 names on the forumhome.

and is it possible to turn off the chat stats, as i no longer have that chat system installed as it was too laggy for me.

thanks.

Chat stats will only show if you have the "who is chatting" mod installed.

Hi Paul, thx for a great plugin.
Do you know which is the faulty CMPS module name?

Paul M

Sorry, I don't, but it must have involved displaying the most users in a CMPS block.

Terrific mod Paul. I have all three of the addons that this addresses and it works on all. I am however getting this on the FlashChat one.

"The most ever chatters online was , 01-01-1970 at 10:00 AM."

I have no other add-ons except ones you have written.

Another anomaly I have just found is,

Total Members that have visited the Forum today: 49
Under that we have,
The most members online in one day was 53, Today

The Flashchat date resolved itself after someone used the chat.

There are 49 members names showing in the list including my invisible one, so obviously the 53 is wrong?

There is only one hidden member and that is me. I just had a thought about this, could the missing 4 be people who registered today?

Yes, you will get that when it's first installed, until someone uses the chat, as until that point the mod has had nothing to count.

I knew someone would ask this eventually. :)

This happens when you are running in the users/posters since midnight mode - because one or more of your users is in a different timezone (x hours ahead of you) so they have already reached 74 visitors/posters since *their* midnight - hence the total gets updated. Because you are x hours behind them, you haven't reached (caught up) to the 74 yet.

Obviously it doesn't affect the last 24 hour mode, as everyone sees the same total all the time.Obviously in this case your figure is 53, not 74.

Hi Paul M,

I have the same date problem in my forum (01-01-1970) and after deleting/removing everything that had to do with stats, it still stays the same,

Is there some kind of sql that I can use that repairs the stats

Thanks

Hi,
After upgrading i can't see the "the most member" and "most posters".
There is the sentence but without the result.

See pic,

Yay.. thank you... I've loved all the mods you've installed. I don't use them all, but I use the tracking ones. the addition of the guest tracking most ever code is a definite bonus for me.

Thanks again.

I use vb 3.6.4
Before that i used "Most ever Members, Posters and Chatters" 2.14 and i didn't have any problem. That's just not possible. The code in 2.14 is identical for posters, chatters and members - I think you must have been using 2.13 or before.

There was a change in the phrases between 2.13 & 2.14, and if you customised your phrases before this change, and didn't manually update them, then you will get exactly the problem you describe. It looks to me like you need to re-edit your customised phrases, making sure the {1}, {2} etc are present.

I just put it again , and now it's working.

This is a great hack - one I've used for some time, but the chat portion seems to have stopped working for me. It previously displayed the most ever chatters, but this is all I see now:

The most ever chatters was

...even after someone has entered/exited the chat room. I'm using the latest versions of this hack and "Who is Chatting" and had "Allow Overwrite" set to yes. Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

hmm... I tried to update the datastore, but it's still acting wierd.. :(

Most likely you both have custom language versions of the phrases (most_visitors, most_chatters). Check them in the phrase manager and make sure they match the original (or just delete the custom version).

That took care of it - I'm not sure how it happened, but I had an English "translation" of most_chatters with "The most ever chatters online was". Thanks for your help and a great hack. :)

Thanks Paul..

One thing I noticed is I was running an older Who's Visited... I also upgraded to the latest one..

I'm getting "%1$s" then the number of members after it..

So it's reading:

Total members that have visited the forum today: %1$s 63

I looked in the phrases, and didn't see anything wierd.. Any advice?? :D

Paul M

Yes, that's due to you using an older template, you need to revert Display_Visitors.

I am having a difficulty with this mod, and also with the 'most users ever online' feature of vbulletin.
I have attached a screenshot of my display. This is what it is saying:

Most users ever online was 1, 01-01-70 at 00:00.
The most posters in one day was 1, 01-01-70.
The most members online in one day was 1, 01-01-70.

Previously, the amounts and dates were larger amounts, from last summer sometime.

I first noticed this problem last week after I installed flashchat and the integration pack that goes with it (it is all running great!) and also the 'who is chatting' mod, could this problem be related to that? (You won't see the 'who is chatting mod in my screenshot as we decided to disable it until the F1 season begins and we use our chatroom full time)

Today I installed the newest version of this mod, from this thread, as the one that was running before had been their since we were using vbulletin 3.5 and now we are using 3.64. I uninstalled the old product first, and enabled the new one, but it is just the same.

Any suggestions?

Paul M

There is a nice big warning in the 3.5 version ;

Warning: Do not run this vb 3.5 version on a vb 3.6 forum

Unfortunately, that is exactly what you did, and as expected, it's broken your counters.

Try running this sql query;

delete from datastore where title = 'maxloggedin'

ok thanks.
I didnt read the intructions again when I upgraded to 3.6. Too many mods.
I guess I learned a lesson.

Although it has been working for a few weeks on 3.6 and suddenly stopped. Is that normal in this situation?

Can I just ask if this mod is retroactive like the Members WVT one or is it from the point of install, like the Guests WVT?

We have a Most Ever Online figure of 768 (we got Dugg) and I'm interested to see how many visited in that 24 hour period. Can this product show me that?
If so, I'll be installing straight away (as long as there's no risk of it resetting that counter! )

Paul M
06-17-2007, 10:21 AM
Nope, this is not a time machine, it cannot tell you that.

(However, the stats area of the ACP can tell you that particular figure).
