Hi peeps

Is there such a hack as the title says...

I am thinking about upgrading a member of my staff to have a bit more then super mod privelages, But, i need to restrict many things, such as the plugin side of things, the whol styles area to be out of bounds, and other items in the VB options menu as well.....

Is there such a thing or could this be made please?

I think when you add/promote a new admin, there's an option to update administration permission for the new admin, and you can allow/disable him to access to.

As soon as you admin someone, there permissions will go to the basic.
Untill you give them any.

Search the user > Find Quick User Links(very top of page)> At the bottom it says edit user permissions.

Ah right ok...i will try this, thanks peeps...

Thinking about it, as they will be admin can they not edit themselves and change their permissions?

there are still a few hacks that show that i dont want them to access....
How would i go about restricting them to these?

They can't edit themselves.

In your config.php
You can choose who is super admin. Default i think is userID=1

and if you don't want to show hacks don't let them have the power of "Can Administer Plugins"

If you need 1 on 1 help add me to your Instant messaging or PM is fine.

Thanks shaz...i will if i struggle :)

I had a test run and i set it so that that could only do the post/thread, and user stuff, and i could still see certain hacks that had been add...i think i would need to refer back to the said hacks to see if theres a resolution for them...
