Jelsoft has announced today another Release Candidate Update for vBulletin 3.6:



vBulletin 3.6.0 Release Candidate 3

While the original plan was to make this the final, 'gold' release of vBulletin 3.6.0, a number of bugs and code changes in the past few days have persuaded us that it would be wise to put out a further release candidate before certifying 3.6.0 as a 'stable' version.

A change was made so that user's with infractions can have their user titles and username markup altered. You will need to modify your infraction groups and enable the override option. Execute the username/usertitle update after doing so to update user's with active infractions. Users can have multiple infraction groups and only the markup from the group with the highest point total will be utilized.

This is certaintly great news as the release of vBulletin 3.6 Gold comes closer!

There is no noticable change. It is pretty much just template mods. You can visit the site in my sig, but its not going to look any different from a normal vbulletin site.

If you dont know what your doing... wait till gold.

What is vB 3.6 Gold? Sorry I'm confused...will it have more features or something? :surprised:

Also, is 3.6 Candidate 3 currently stable?

The final production release is often referred to as the 'Gold' release.

And no, usually new features are only added during Beta stages. Once RC (Release Candidate) stage is reached, there will in most cases no functional changes be made anymore.

No Beta or RC relrease will ever be labeled as 'stable' (although it might run stable for most user).
