Animated Avatars

We have a collcetion of them for members but none of them work once they are added to the members profile, is there a simple explanation for this ?

Hello dubsbhoy,

I had a similar problem, check that the size of the avatar is smaller or equal to the maximum size allowed in your settings. In my forum our animated avatars showed but wouldnt move, I then discovered that the animated avatars I was using were very slightly larger than my settings would allow, once I changed the allowence everything was fine.

Admin cp/usergroups/usergroup manager

Select the usergroup you wish to make the alterations to ie registered users and click edit usergroup

13th box down (in vb 3.5.4) titled 'Picture Uploading Permissions'

check 'Can Upload Animated Avatar' is set to yes

then put in the pixel size you want the avatars to be. Mine is set to 100 x 100,

also check your 'Custom Avatar Maximum File Size' covers the size of the avatars you want to use.
