How to disable spaces in username?

Is there a way that I can disable spaces in usernames during registration? I'm using a chat script integrated into vbulletin, and spaces in a usernames give an error.

You can set in the ACP with this hack to not allow spaces. :)

You could just use Regular Expressions -- no need for a hack.

Correction, this is only available on 3.6.x.
