Hey everyone,
Every now and then I love to go against the established flow of things and shake things up. With this new idea, I doubt I'd go about putting even a pinprick dent in Hollywood Dollars, but at least we might be able to show folks that you don't need them anymore to get your idea and product out there.
Anyway, shoot on over to www.shreddersdojo.com and check out the Shredderwood section of the board. We'll be open hopefully next Friday if everything stays on schedule..
What do you think, good idea? Bad Idea?

What on earth is that horrific thing on your homepage that uses java and an embedded mp3. Quite possibly the worst website I've visited this week, given that I can't even navigate to your forums...

Everything you see on that front page is only temporary. None of it will appear on the final design. Wich, is being done right now, and will be uploaded as soon as I regain the funds neccesary to pay for the completed work. The Java thing was a Web counter offered by the sites installitron feature. It never did work properly, the peice of junk.
I know the forums have navigational problems. But just in case you spotted something I missed, what's giving you problems?
The only thing that will stay on the forum is the forum database. That's all the sites content. Everything else is gone when the new design comes in

Well how about this for an idea, get everything ready before you launch and then show us. It irritates me to see people launch half-assed, incomplete work.

I'm not launching the site yet. I had this note in a different section of the forum, but one of the mods moved it to the reviews for some reason.
I wasn't looking for a review on the site, but a review on a idea associated with the site. That being submitting original Animation to the site so other people can view it. And, one day in the distant future, have it be a sort of you tube cousin for original animation work where the creator gets to distribute his stuff, and maintain full rights to his work, without having a studio get in the way of the creative process.

OK, Forget the idea I mentioned above. No one seems interested in that anyway... Embedded stuff goes bye bye

What exactly are we reviewing here? The picture of the dude that looks like an extra from Mortal Kombat?

Don't ask me.. I didn't move this thread to the Site review section. I thought it would be more appropritate in the Chit Chat area :) Looking for THOUGHTS on the idea above :).

Well, now that we have the thread, I might as well announce I spent an hour or so updating the threads on the board.
All the HTML Coding is gone, just pure text and images now. I fixed some of the spelling and punctuation errors. Not all of them...but some of them.
The flash is gone on the main page, as is the counter.
Anyone know where I can go to learn how to build my own custom counter, that's simple and easy to learn?

You could just use a simple CGI counter, but if you're looking to "build" your own -- Google.

Forum is fully launched. We just have to get the news script working, and the poll up and running.

I had a bit of trouble installing the skin, but I managed to get around it. Except for trying to figure out the best way to get a poll going on the main page, we're fully up and running :).
