UPDATE: the color mismatch found in the gradient for catagories has now been fixed in the new version, this should solve the problem that occurs where people use forum description in their catagories.
Hello guys, this is my third skin i've released on here so i hope you guys like it.
Anyway this skin is supposed to be an imitation of the proboards black skin, with a few touches of my own, i've gotten it as close to the skin as possible and its a pretty basic skin that doesn't require much to load.
I'm not very good at button making so i left the default ones, but if anyone wants to make some for this skin please let me know so we can add it here.
anyways i'm pretty pleased with the way this turned out as i was just messing about with some settings when i discovered it looked similar to the proboards skins i used to use when i had one (a LONG time ago).
there isn't much to do on your part and installation take around 3 minuites or so.
screenshots are provided ^_^ anyways i hope you like it.
THIS SKIN IS FREE BUT IF YOU'D LIKE TO DONATE TO HELP FUND US PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO BELOW:

this might be a really stupid question but will 3.6 skins work on 3.5.4? im not ready for the upgrade and will be sticking w/ 3.5.4. i thought i read somewhere on here that they were simular in base structure and some things were compatable. great looking skin though.

thank, i believe this skin to work on 3.5.4, since there no real template edits made so i assume it would yes.

yes, i'm not a button designer.....i admit i'm terrible at button icons, thats why all my skins get stuck with the vB icons. thats why my skins lack compared to everyone elses, and is why in my release i ask for button designers to come up with some buttons ^_^

Great style! I've never been a fan of Proboards, but I admit that I've always liked their dark style.

to do this go to your style VARS for the proboards black skin and then alter the logo url for it.

Beautiful skin....Can someone help me? I'd like for the entire forums to be fixed at 982W for this template, but I'm new to VB. I've tried and tried, but can't get the forums to center, stay the size I want, or match up with my header image.

there is space for the forum descriptions if you use them. my example screenshots are from my own forum which doesn't need big descriptions.
the tables themselves expand the more text you put into them.

hey Neo, nice theme,
my only grip is:
can you fit the theme to accomodate forum descriptions, the text looks off and is hard to read,
example:

Do you have a MAC? Just asking cuz I see it as clean as well. My only experience with any fonts being unclear is on a the MAC, but that is true for most fonts when it comes to these computers, as they don't always remain as true fonts. soz
Yo Tom...BTW: This style is very cool... Thumbs up man!

11-16-2006, 06:10 PM
yes this skin is VERY basic and just mimics the simplicity and basic looks of the proboards black style. its aim was to be a mimmic of that skin whilst being easy to load on servers as well as look nice.
iran.gs
11-20-2006, 01:39 PM
Very nice very fast loading buttttttttttttttttttt only problem is i got like 20 sections
the bar for each section which makes diffe categ is too narrow needs to be 1/4 inch larger it confuses each categ to each other.... other than that its a winner if u can make this with a Center section so each title will show in the midle it makes it look even better...

thanks for the feedback, i will be updating this skin with fixes soon. and i'll try to fix that problem ^_^.
i think i know what is happening, because i made the gradient bar 30 pixels in height, message boards with descriptions make itstrech but the image still stays the same siz,e if i can figure out how to strech the image to it would solve it, but i have another idea should it fail. i'll release the update sometime soon.

I have this skin installed and it looks stunning.
www.photography-forum.org
my only problem - please be patient as Im relativley new to the coding side.
I love all the colours - the text etc.
but when you go to make a post - in the smileys box - the button marked "more" which then opens up the extra smileys box is the same colour as the background so you cant see it - it is there because when you hover over it it changes colour.
How do I change just that buttons colour without changing all the text ??

i'll have a look for you i'm pretty sure its something to do with the highlight colour.

try looking in STYLEVARS, i'm not sure about that myself since i've never needed to alter mine. but i'm pretty sure theres an option for it. i'll look into it.

Thats great news, i'm glad that such a skin is making a difference. i'm very glad you like it to.
I think it kinda sucks how you stuck with some vb default graphics, expecially how they are not transparent on the boarder and are blue when your skin is black. The css is a 10 pointer though, ;)

yeah i'm not an great button maker so buttons are not my strong point, and i left it with the defaults so users could choose new button sets from the variety available here.

Neo_Angelo
11-10-2007, 10:30 AM
The style works in 3.6.8 as far as i'm aware, not alot but the colors changed in the release. since its only a basic skin with no really modifications it'll work on ANY version. if you run into problems i'll try to help you out.
