Some forums have a news account that multiple people log into and use for the express purpose of posting news articles. Creates a universal front and all that jazz.
I'm looking for one of three things that could accomplish what I'm looking for, which is a way to internally identify which person made which news post (in otherwords, a standard reader wouldn't know, but a staff member would):
1. a way that each person can either mark each post that they've done (probably easier to code, although more work for the end user)
2. a way to let each person have a personal news username (e.g. news_a, news_b, news_c), and when they post as that one, it would show up as the main news username (e.g. News). The personal news username wouldn't show up anywhere publicly, and for each post made by any personal news username, it would increase all of the appropriate public information for the news username (created by threads, post counts, etc).
If the personal news username isn't needed to be tracked, then the post count, etc. from each personal news username could be transferred into the main account, and a hidden piece of text could be embedded into the post stating who REALLY made it (there are hidden text hacks I know).
3. IIRC there's a hack out there that lets a user have a membername, and then a completely different name that they can post under. A way to mod that so that multiple users can have the same visual name (and merge post data of course) would work I guess.
So, anyone know of a hack like this?
