Instead of a lightbulb or next to it, how about some indication of how many threads are new
OR even in the Posts/Threads totals, it could says something like
Posts
23123 (43 New)
Threads
2323 (12 new)
And maybe at the top of the page...... there have been 6 new posts since you last visited.
What do you think? Feasible?
