I was about to start an all new bbcode thread with a bunch of stuff in it, but I don't know if I should post in the 3.5 or 3.6 areas.
In fact, all my bbcodes work with 3.0 too, so poor 3.0 users who browse those mods won't see them either.
I have no idea how bbcodes work (or don't) in 2.0.
SO
What do I do? I would like version number 'all' or '3.0 and higher' and so on. Or
*drum roll*
A bbcodes forum!

Im not an expert at BBCODE, but i think that if the BBCODE system hasent, and wont change, that there should be a bbcode forum :)

Borgs8472,
Check this thread here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=119209). Looks like it may or may not happen at some point in the future.

I don't believe it because I asked for this september last year (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=95505)

As Marco said, it will be considered when there is a re-design of the site; Until that time it is unlikely that it will be implemented...

Why?

Because that's the decision made.

Because that's the decision made.Guess this is an example of the new 'positive attitude' and 'helping' direction that vB.org is trying to go in. :tired: Would it have really hurt to answer Borgs question instead of giving a snippy response like that?

Well Marco and Chris already gave the answer. Since we are working hard on a complete redesign on the site, we are avoiding any current quick changes to prevent issues with what we are working on now.
If that makes any sense. :)

Well Marco and Chris already gave the answer. I don't think anybody would agree that (to paraphrase) 'it might be added in the future' is really answer. But...
Since we are working hard on a complete redesign on the site, we are avoiding any current quick changes to prevent issues with what we are working on now.
If that makes any sense. :)... is at least an answer. :) No changes are going to be done in the short-term that will might affect the long-term redesign. I think most people can live with that decision; some may not be happy (and if vB.org has taught us nothing else, not everybody can be happy at all times :bunny:) but at least they'll know why the suggestion or feedback is being shelved for the time being instead of just being dismissed like was done above.

The answer I gave was clear; I stated that it wont be done until a re-design is done; That alone will take time as nothing that extensive can be done overnight, and I mentioned that it may be implemented...
Like Danny says, we are working on the site as a whole; This may be an idea that will fit in with the re-design, it may not; We won't know until we've done it :)

ChrisAnd my response was pretty clear as well. Heck, even your statements above that "... it wont be done until a re-design is done ..." and " ... This may be an idea that will fit in with the re-design, it may not ..." conflict with each other. First you say it will be done then you say it may not.
I understand you guys wanting to hold off on any changes for a planned redesign but trying to say that an answer was given when clearly it wasn't is a bit silly.
Obviously you staff members are chiming on this thread in defense of each other but the only person who gave an actual answer so far is Danny; the rest has been either misleading double-speak or rude dismissals.
{Cripes! One little suggestion and it turns into a drama. I'd hate to think how a real problem would be responded to.}
