I've just installed a hack/product called Databack, the instructions are;
Upload the databack.php file to your includes/cron/ directory
Upload the product-databasebackup.xml file using the upload new product link in your admin cp panel.
Add new Scheduled Task:
Admincp -> Scheduled Tasks -> Add New Scheduled Task
Title: Automatic Database Back-up
Day of the Week: *
Day of the Month: *
hour: 23
Log Entries: Yes
Filename: ./includes/cron/databack.php
This will backup your database every 23 hours. Change it if you want. :)
My friend who has a vB forum to sent it to me to try out, I can't find it here on the forum.
Anyway I set it, but I don't know where the .sql file is save on the server. I'm no good at reading codes, could someone look and see if they know the path?
Thanks,
Patrick
ps - please let me know if uploading this file is not allowed.

Hello pal, I use the same hack and works great!
First of all you need to upload that PHP files, and then install thre product. I believe you know how to do it.
Then, go to vBulletin Options > Database Backup Settigs
There you will have to write down the path where your SQL or GZIP file will be dumped.
I have them stored under a BASE dir, for example /home/YourAccount/dbBackup/
If you need more help just let me know!

ps - please let me know if uploading this file is not allowed.
I'm afraid I have removed the file.
I'm assuming from your post that you are not the author, therefore we cannot allow it to be posted unless the author confirms they are happy for it to be released here - and in that case it should be done in the proper manner, in the release forums.

As a side note, if you run *nix and have shell access, I have a much easier method to automate your DB backups in my sig.

<font color="DarkRed">I need help... I need to restore my database. What utility do I use with databack to restore the entire backed-up file to my database? My backup file is 95 M so using phpmyadmin is out of the question as it will time out.
I would really appreciate the help. </font>

How does databack save the file? Is it a .sql extension?
If so, upload your latest backup to your server, and then execute:
mysqldump --opt -u user -p dbname > path/to/yourbackup.sql
