Adding Forum Stats to a Side Menu?

Looking for a hack or the query to add forum stats to a side menu.

Posts, Threads and Newest Members.

My side menu is created in the footer template.

so it shows on every page then?

you will need a plugin to display the stats on every page. unfortunately thats not something that I can help with.
