Whos Online

I usually sit on my online.php page seeing who logs in and where they go etc.. As my site has gotten bigger and bigger, I get "Page Cannot Be Displayed". Is there a way to have the online.php display on a bare-bones page? A page stripped down of all the other graphics and ads etc. that would normally slow down the online.php.
