download all of your files from the host you are moving FROM.

Upload these same files to your new host.

Go back to your old host and get a fulldump from your mysql ( DONOT use the vB backup function.... it isnt 100% Learned this the hard way.)

If you access mysql via phpmyadmin then log in and goto export select ALL tables and choose EXTEBDED INERTS. scroll down and select the zipped choice and then hit go.

if you access this some other way then consult that programs documentation to figure it out.

go to your new host and IMPORT that sql you downloaded. depending on your boardfs size and the sql size it may take a while.

The newest phpmyadmin only allows a max of 16 MB to be imported ( IF YOUR PHP.INI ALLOWS IT. default php.INI only allows 2MB at a time. so you MAY have to copy/paste from the sql file till all sql is imported.

Thats that. Just open up your includes/config.php file and put your new mysql db info in there save and upload and load your forums.

most things will work. Th eonyl thing that messed upfor me was ec downloads... which I can;t fix till they unlock it here..
