I've noticed that threads have been getting closed extremely fast lately, is there any procedure in which you guys take when closing a thread or any rules that would put a thread for immediate closing, or is it just to prevent something?

In my opinion it's a good change... a good level of moderation can only help the situation in this area.

Or are you just asking to stir the pot a bit? ;)

Our level of moderation has indeed increased, it is essential on any board this size. :)

Or was that sarcastic comment just you adding to the stir?

Danny - I see, hopefully the heavier moderation will be for the best ;)

Wasn't trying to be sarcastic, that's how your question came across to me. Sorry if I offended you. :)

Then could I direct your attention to this thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=119097)? Please delete the off-topic posts (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=118404). I tried using the "Report Bad Post" mechanism, but no action has been taken. Thank you for the increased moderation, it's a positive change.

That thread is already closed - No action was taking because closing a thread is a far as moderation goes.

There were off-topic posts prior to it being closed. But it's your policy, not mine - ignore it if you so choose.

If you see a post that is not allowed by our rules, you can report it it and it will be looked into by our Staff.

If you are not satisfied with the action taken by the Staff, you can contact a single (*) Team Leader or Administrator and ask tehm to review the decission.

No need to start a public discussion bout it.

(*) with single i mean that there is no need to send such a PM to the major part of our Staff members. You already have been warned before.

The PM went to the moderators listed for the Site Feedback forum. (Where oh where did my expectation of privacy go??)

I appreciate the detailed breakdown of the procedure you have in place. If a post is made which violates established policy, and:

1. Report Bad Post is ignored
2. PM to a single administrator is ignored
3. PM to the official moderators are ignored
4. A public post is chastised and threats are made that I've "been warned"...

What is step 5? What can you do when the administration refuses to enforce their own policy?

If you're going to ban me, Marco, just do it, even though I haven't violated any policies here. Please don't bring all of your personal animosity to bear on me here, when I'm posting about a very simple, single, isolated issue: please delete off-topic posts. If you don't want to hear from me, then don't egg me on: this was an exchange between Danny and myself that was, as far as I was concerned, concluded, until you stumbled in like a bull in a china shop.

I am not going into a public debat with you over this.

If you feel there are issues still open, you can send me 1 PM, keep it short and to the point, and i will give you a reply. Questions already answered previously by me, will not be replied again.

Further public posts on this topic by you will be considered as an attempt to disrupt the board and will not be allowed.

Original question from threadstarter answered, this thread is closed.
