Column on forum page?

I have seen a few forums that integrate a column into the forums to add links, menus etc. Does anyone know if this is an official hack somewhere I can install or is it custom?

I also would like to see examples as well as I lost a few bookmarks of forums that had it added :)

So like before the number of views column you want another coloumn? (just an example).

As far as i know that is custom but i can make it for you.

MAybe it would help if you explained a bit more what you are exactly looking for, or post links to these forums that you already found using this.
