Well, this is basically a site dedicated to finding tricks and glitches in games, for consoles, PC, handhelds, and anything in between. :D

We recently redid our site template (no tables...except vB of course (curse you vB!! =P)) and switched over to a vBulletin forum. The site's been running for over a year now (although not without it's setbacks...including the site being shut down by the original owner, a couple database losses, and a hacking >_<), so it has developed a pretty dedicated fanbase.

Anyways, the main site is here (http://www.trickgaming.org) and the forums are here (http://www.trickgaming.org/forum). The theme changer is in the top left (not bottom left), and it has several template modifications done to it (mostly custom).

I'd love to hear what you guys think about the site. :D

EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention, but the main page is running a custom PHP system for pulling threads from a specific forum.

Hi,

I suggest adding a light style to your site. Your current style is not accessable by people with visual problems or colorblindness.

Only one comment? =/

Anyways, ska, I would add a light style, except for two reasons.

A) Most gamers, and, for that matter, the truly hardcore willing to delve into every aspect of a game searching high and low for glitches (which is what the site is intended for) do not have the same issue with seeing light items on dark backgrounds as you do. We're not exactly trying to make a site that's perfectly built for every person with every disability, with every nationality, and with every other sort thing that determines web design. We are trying to make a site that is directed towards a certain type of individual (the gamers).

B) The site just wouldn't...feel right with a light theme. Also, we have always had a light theme, since it started over a year ago (like I said), and I felt it was time for a bit of a change.

Anyways, anyone else care to comment?

PS: ska, did you even look at the forums? Because they're light-themed, unlike the rest of the site.

I had looked at the whole site, including the forums, before making my comments, and have just been back to make sure that I hadn't missed anything (BTW, I forgot to tell you that your forums link is wrong in the first post).

I understand that 99.9% of gamers and gaming sites have dark(-er) styles as their default as this is what the majority of their users want, and in no way was I suggesting a change from the default. While your forums are not too bad, your main site is something like blue and purple on black. As you have the style changer at the top there to alter the number of columns shown, I was suggesting that a lighter theme be added to there also, as an optional alternative. It could even be the same as one of the themes that you use on your forums which would also promote continuity.

If you were color blind or had visual problems, wouldn't pretty much any skin be inaccessible?

Decent skin by the way, although the header can use a more "gamey" touch.

Actually it doesn't work like that. A lot of skins and things are very accessible, but those that aren't I do point out.

Thanks, but which part are you referring to as the header?

If you mean the banner, it cycles through several images , some of which are more "gamey" than others, but they all have some connection to gaming.
