validate email address

i did a search but couldnt find anything, unless i didnt search for the right thing....

anyways... how do i make all current members validate there email address, when they log back in, or visit the site again? when i send out an newsletter i get about 200 invalid emails bounced back to me.

You can't, there is no facility in vb to do his.

I've never seen a mod to do this either.

You could use a combination of existing code and the hack that displays customized welcome messages (sorry I'm not sure where this is, but it's here somewhere)

Setup the custom welcome message to display to any member in the Awaiting Email Confirmation group that says something like - click here to update your details (link to UserCP) and then click here to send a verification email.

When they click the link in the email, vB puts them into the normal usergroup.

With this method you could re-verify anybody (or everybody) simply by putting them in the Awaiting Email Confirmatin group.
