Description:
This is a hack to "anonymize" all outgoing links from your forum to prevent the referrer information from being sent.

Installation:
All the installation information is in the package.

What's does this Hack do?
Anonymize every outgoing link including a Disclaimer through simply opening a new Window without a Referal.

Nice Hack - but this has nothing to do with this one. Yours did not have a Disclaimer while being redirected to the other Site.

Might want to change the download instructions. They say to search for:

This could confuse newbies :bunny:

Also, why are there two leading italic tags here?

I use your links.php to be my own redirector and marco's code because it does the redirect without file edits.

working like a charm but weird enough internal links are also redirected by the message. When i link to another thread on my forum the users also get the directing page..

What could this be?
i putted my domain in the fields were neccesary in the class_bbcode file..

Edit: weird when i enter in the class_bbcode file another prefix like 'localhost'
then he doesn't use the redirecting service:s
so the hack works but probably not with my domain:s

This is impossible.

Check the complete Installprocess and take the Steps backwards.

You did something wrong at Installation. Check the replaced part.

there is nothing to get wrong, i use vb 3.6.0 if that makes a difference but i have put the replacement code in exactly as you have told us to.

BTW it would be useful to include an english version of links.php in the download.

You misunderstand the way it is working. It is only anonymizing the Refererr - not the IP !!

The Website you come from stay anonym - not the User.

It is usefull if you do not want to let see other Webmasters that you are linking to them.

1. Substituted the html code in links.php with "The Part", since it was in German or something.

So, it looked like this:

2. I upload "links.php" to my root folder.


3. Replaced that portion of code with the suggested code in class_bbcode.php so it looked like this:

2. You are using vBulletin Version 2.3.0 at this Domain. This is not compatibel.

1. It doesn't matter what url I use at the moment because it's a test forum. It should still work if I stop the process and change the url to the internal IP anyway.

2. This is a v3.6.2 forum running on a new server. It's actually running on the same domain, but on port 81. www isn't necessary unless you include it in your configuration. I don't. It's a waste of space these days. There's no need to type "www" anymore, unless it's specifically stated that way in someone's config.

Maybe this is the Problem. Nobody else has Problems as you can see in this Thread. Only one Member that has made a Scripterror at the Installation.
This is a pure 3.6.2 Release.

So test it without Port change and take another look into the installation Description. Maybe you have replaced the wrong part in the Originalcode. But i believe there is a Serverproblem.

After vBAnonymizer has some security Risks and some Bugs (not vBAdvanced compatibel and others ...) i suggest to reinstall my Hack if you have it deinstalled after the Mail from Yesterday.

Would be nice to specify a special link for interested webmasters, where the page is linked ?!
