I have only had my board up (3.5.4) for 1 month. Is it worth it to upgrade to 3.6? I'm new and still learning. Plus I think I would screw up the upgrade so couldn't I just leave it as is???
and if I did upgrade do you have to redo all the changes you made?
(templates, colors, banners & etc)
sorry if these are dumb questions

Not a dumb question at all :)
I was always told to wait a while before upgrading because of all of the bugs. I guess it is just up to the individual person. I have only had mine for a couple of months and have no intention of upgrading for quite some time. :)
Sorry, I can't answer the other questions you have, not sure of that myself.
Also here is this thread I just came across ;)

I would suggest you stay with version 3.5.4 and find your way around. There is a lot there to find. Version 3.6 is still in BETA and so not really supported, as it will probably still have some insect infestations.
By the time you are comfortable with vB3.5.4 version 3.6 may be in its stable release.

I have upgraded to 3.6.0 and it went fine.
It took some time, and i got some strange messages while i upgraded. ;P
There is a lot of changes in the templates and i have a bit troubel getting some hacks to work.
But if i was you, i would wait. ;)

It is a BETA. NEVER install a BETA on a live forum unless you are confident and knowledgeable enough to either fix any issues that come up, or are able to reverse to the prior state of the board w/o any problems.

I am new to vB in general. In regards to how vB handles plugins will there be a problem if we upgrade to 3.6 once it is stable or should we wait and check all of our plugins here to make sure they have been 'upgraded' or work with 3.6?
