I was thinking of installing vb3.6 beta 1 but it was saying un-supported..... So do you think I should install it or not?

On a live board?
With real members?
With hacks/mods installed?
With a custom skin?
IMO the answer to this is a definative *NO*
For testing purpose, to play around and on a non-productive environment, definately yes, I love it so far.
But I'd never put that on my live board.
They say for a reason "Unstable Release" ;)

Its beta software, if you are willing to accecpt all that comes wiht it, sure, if you are not, and you are not a coder of any type, and not willing to deal with possible serrious bugs, then no.

Agree 100%, been playing with it for the past five hours, and loving every minute of it.
Nice to have a near-vertical learning curve again :D :D

It's not stupid at all if you know that you are taking a risk and you have the ability to patch things up that prevent your users from using the forums.
Jelsoft is running it on a live forum ;) We certainly can't call them stupid, can we? :D
Running it on a live forum is one of the best ways to get data to the developers about bugs and such. But, it's not something I would recommend most users do. You need to be able to understand code errors, database operations and such. Otherwise, you're just asking for heartburn and problems.

If you do run it on a live board, just be sure to keep it as up-to-date as possible. Upgrade to Beta 2 ASAP, apply all released patches, etc.
Personally, though, I'd just wait for the final, stable release. Just run the beta on localhost or something, and use it as a testing ground for hacks, etc.
