Some feedback and members would be nice :)

You have a nice idea there for a style and the colors go well together. I would work on creating your own buttons and icons to complement your theme as the default ones do not go very well.

For a brand new forum, unless you are expecting a lot of activity right away, you have too many forums. The fewer forums you have when starting out, the better as it instantly makes the site look busier without having to try.

I'm not sure about the blue color for hover links as they disappear when you mouse over them. Personally I'd be tempted to have this the same as the normal and visited links color.

May i ask what is the point of the current setup on the landing page? Splash pages dont do users any favours, having to make an extra click to get the content they want is just giving them another excuse to press close rather than continue ;)

it's a good start ...

BUT
- get rid of the splash page
- do you really need a BIG V? What's wrong with a little V
- header is too big ... it takes too much space (valuable space)
- icons look horrible on that black background ... they were not made to use on dark backgrounds ... I recommend using something else or replace the background color.

On the forum change the forum description area to a lighter dark color. It will blend nicely with the background. And the splash page doesn't really matter but now a days people don't like it. And the bevel effect on the V is great, try bending it around and make it a different kind of V not just a plain V :).
