I am not much of a designer but for once I wanted to design my own style, so that's what I spent most of yesterday doing here http://www.talkedabout.com/?styleid=1 I matted most of the images to fit the colors but there are so freakin many! I still have some more to do. Feedback and criticism welcome. :)

Nice try. Here are some suggestions:

- Take off the yellow border, as it is a bit distracting.
- If you want to keep some yellow, try making the background yellow. Perhaps add a nice pattern effect.
- Try and make the header extend a bit more to be aligned with your forum tables.
- Make the status icons yellow.

Hope that helps ;)

Looks good. One of the easiest to see dark styles I've come acroos in a while.

Just one suggestion, change the font color for the time as it is invisible.

Don't worry about the width of the logo as with you using a fluid style it will always be too big or too small for someone. The current width works well on every resolution as it will not create horizontal scroll.

Once you get the rest of the images finished off, I think you will be onto a winner there. :up:

Thanks for the feedback guys! peterska2, which font are you referring to and what color would you suggest? As for the image, I am working on a GD2 PHP mod that will display the welcome information within another image right next to the current one to complete the width up there. Something like a person speaking into a comment box type thing.

Edit, I re-read and saw "Time" :)

you currently have your time CSS class font color set to #666686. I'd be tempted to go with your alt2 font color of #CCCCCC then it is readable.

I think you've done a good job with your page.. I do like the colors.. except the blue graphics.. I worked up some for you.. just an idea! Great job!.. And I agree.. it is one of the best I have seen for a darker color scheme! WTG!

I don't know if it is my laptop screen or not.. (it usually is different from my monitors).. but the link color is nearly impossible to tell apart from the rest of the text.. I will have to check on another puter.

Not if you make a background for the table ;)

it's a bit confusing ... a good design will always put focus on "something" ... be it an image, a column, a row, a title, etc

(you want to put focus on your forum titles)

Quick Changes To Make It Look Better:
I suggest a lighter shade for tborder (background/border - #634A00 ).
Replace link color ... use #ffcc00; leave the hover as is
The alt1 and alt1Active links should be changed to
color:#ffffff;
text-decoration: underline;

change vbmenu_control a:link color to #ffcc00

I also recommend a increasing alpha (about 80%) on your OFF statusicon. In other words, the OFF icon would not stand out.
