I've been told upgrading to the latest vBulletin is near to impossible if your current version contains to many mods.
Has anyone successfully upgraded under these circumstances? Or do I need to start over with a fresh install. I'd hate to loose all my current data by starting a new board.

Can anyone possibly head me in the right direction?
Is there anyone here willing to take on such a task? I know one of you super coders need a challenge. hehe

Thanks for any advice offered,
Regards,
WR

most off the mods won't be compatible with 3.5.4 so you'll have to uninstall them anyway.

I upgraded from a mega modded 3.0.7 (might have been 8) to 3.5.0 and had no problems at all. You will need to revert the majority of your templates, and all hacks will need their 3.5.x ports installing instead of the 3.0.x versions. Just make sure that when installing any products you set set 'Allow Overwrite' to 'YES' in case the tables already exist in your database.

Well, before doing this, make sure that the hacks that you still want are available in 3.5.x Or else, you will no longer be able to use them.
