So what happened to the so called changes around here? I havn't seen any.... Sure you guys filled in your ranks to make your staff power stronger, but what about the end user? Where's the paid hack directory at? Where is the updates on progress we were promised? It is pretty funny that you guys gathered some of the most vocal people about the problems around here to become staff.... Was this some attempt at hushing them? Wheres Wayne Luke at? Whatever happened in that so called meeting that Jelsoft had in regards to this site? We havn't received any updates and im seeing more and more attitude return by the day from the staff around here. We have threads closing like crazy and disappearing....... What's going on guys? Sure Rome wasn't built in a day but I am sure they were more outspoken about their progress.....

I knew that was coming...
Perhaps they're still working on the back-end? However, in a way, i suppose i feel the same way. However, i know some changes have been made for the staff, as i was able to see those changes at one point by accident :p

I don't think there's nothing wrong with your statement actually.
Anticipation = The hope for fascination, which in this case may seem like it = procrastination?
Ah, my poetic abilities :p

The only purpose of their increasing of the amount of stuff members is to make a false impression of turbulent activity to temporarily delay complaints such as this one. :)

Changes... Hmm.... first off they've chosen some really good choices for staff. The paid Hack Directory is still on the list of things to do but from what's been told we wanted to get the staff restructure done first.
Wayne is currently working behind the scences with the admins at getting everything together. It's been a rather hectic day and you know it, some of the stuff we have been seeing have needed to be closed or deleted because all they where doing is causing more problems exactly like you are trying to. And as you said Rome wasn't built in a day, this takes time to get things done to a large site as this one that is well integrated with a real Companies website, things need to get approved and coded. Hopefully we will see some more changes in the future that are planned you just got to cool down and wait.

No offense, but this wouldn't have anything to do with you being chosen as part of the staff would it?
What? I'm just answering the questions corrie put forward to the best of my knowledge.

Check the post again and you'll see the quote narrowed down :p
Oh that, really I wasn't a good choice [/sarcasm] but I think all of the other choices so far have been really good and thought out.

Not sure i can agree with the whole good choices thing (not you as a choice, but in general). I mean, i agree with some of the choices, particularly Paul in the coding staff (Paul's a cool guy and coder IMO).
Yes I have Paul, felt it was a bit better looking since I'm on staff

I knew that avatar was familiar, what was your name before? Wasn't it H3[something here]?

i didn't take it that way ? seems like a legit thread to me..
no name calling, no instigating, not one sided...
I don't really spend much time here, not because of anything that has been going on the last 2 months, but I'm just to busy to hang around here.. I come get the great hacks/mods and if I have issues installing I'll come back and do a search to see if my issue has been answered..
anyways, just throwing my 2 cents in this discussion ;)

In your run on sentence that seemed to include everything but accuracy, I noticed you made a reference to me causing problems. I am just asking questions. I am jsut making observations. You guys tell me whether they are true or not. Sure you say there are things going on BEHIND the scenes, but we can't see that, hence *wink wink the post/thread I have made. Maybe an update would be respectfull seeing as so many people here have shown patience during this awkward time.

Can't say he doesn't have a point.
If you wanted an update corrie, you could have clearly just asked for one you didn't have to go on talking about how we are taking too much time to get things done. Things won't get done that way, things take time.

It takes time to make all these changes and they won't all happen at the same time. It will be a progressive process. Currently the teams are meshing and getting to know each other better. The coding team is already working on a few projects, the design team is hashing out ideas for a new style, the community team are working on the site's policies to bring them more up-to-date and easier to understand.
If there was anything major to announce, it would be. Things don't happen overnight on a large community. As community owners yourselves, you should understand this.

Ah, there's Wayne :p
Coding team - Anyway you can give us a heads up on what to expect these projects to be?
Designing team - Ok
Customer Service - Honestly, maybe they should be the ones keeping us updated and helping out in threads like this. To be honest, i highly doubt a lot of people read the policy (if any).

Links Directory, Verified Addons, Hack Database. Need a less restrictive test server and SVN setup though before much progess is made.

Links directory - I suppose this is for commercial scripts?
Verified Addons - Sounds nice.
Hack Database - Ah, so this means that no progress has been made on the hack database even though it's been "in progress" for months? Not trying to cause problems, just an honest question.
As for the less restrictive server, why not just set up a test site using a vbulletin db backup?

I really think in tense situations like this, it would be better to not remove posts and not tell anyone. It causes more problems than it fixes I believe. A simple warning might be better; telling people to tone it down.

Agreed. Psionic's post had nothing wrong in it, he just spoke his opinion. And deleting it isn't to good, as people already know it was there and read it.
<sarcasm>This is definately making things better.</sarcasm>

It seems that the staff here removes all posts to which it cannot respond without looking bad. However, by deleting posts you actually make jelsoft look bad, and that'll eventually affect you (whoever deleted my post) as well.

It probably has already, as people are starting to notice. But then again what can you expect, according to some people, this thread is just Corrie trying to "cause problems and stir the shit so that you he's in the middle of things" ;).

This is your warning.... The people causing problems in this thread are just as much the problem as anything else on this site. If you can't be part of the solution then it would be better for all involved if you simply stopped visiting.
Any further attacks on staff will result in immediate and permanent bans.
Now, if you want to make suggestions or submit ideas to improve the site. If you want to be part of the process, then do so. Attacks and accusing threads like this do not help, they only cause problems. They don't help anything or anyone. Everyone here has the choice of whether they want to help with a solution or not. Those that don't should move on.
