View Full Version : Getting Who's Online To Show People on Non VB Pages

Hey Y'all,
I recently moved from 3.0.x to 3.5.4 and found that vB no longer reports my people in the "Unknown Location." This has made my active user list look a little smaller than I'd like.
I always meant to fix the "unknown location" to say something like "Reading the article / webpage: [page's title tag hyperlinked].
Can anyone point me in the right direction for an existing hack or how I might get started writing this?
Thank you,
rob

Have you looked under your
Usergroup Manager > Admin> Who's Online Permissions
that should be what you are looking for :)

Hey Nathan,
Thanks for the suggestion. I have all of these set to yes, but it still doesn't reflect users in other portions of my site.
On these pages I include global.php and make a call to find out how many comments are in a given thread. This used to be enough to show up on the list. Perhaps now I need to make some additional call?
You can see what i'm talking about: Here are my forums (http://www.weeklydavespeak.com/forums/). Here is a page (http://www.weeklydavespeak.com/news/Introducing_Weekly_Davespeak_Live_053006.php) that should show a guest browsing. Here's a link (http://www.weeklydavespeak.com/forums/online.php) to my who's online.
I'm not sure what happened between 3.0 and 3.5.

about 20mins and still no luck - but I'm sure someone will be able to point
you in the right direction :)
