I was wondering if an extension with these features might exist. If not, I think it could be a great addition to help standardize deletion reasons and streamline the communication to members that their post/thread was deleted.
Installs via the plugin system and adds a table for predefined reasons for deletion.
AdminCP has an option to manage predefined deletion notices (add/edit/delete)
AdminCP setting to allow for requiring (or not) that one of the standarized reason for deletion be selected.
AdminCP has an option to allow (or not) a blank (like the default) if no predefined reason for deleting is selected from the drop down.
A template edit would be required to display the new drop down list of predefined reasons for deletion. All of the above would help make sure that all mods and admins are using the same reasons and help standardize the management of forums.
Does anyone know if something like this exists? If so can you post links to hacks/plugins/extensions that might have some of the features, etc.
If not, does someone want to build this and if not, if I have it built, would anyone be willing to help donate to cover the costs?
