Hi,

I am having a bit of a problem-I found a great hack! Started installing it, got a problem-PM'd the user-Doesn't give any form of support on her hacks

I've replied in the thread a few hours ago, but it doesn't seem that anyone will help-

So, I come for advice from the more clever ones! I am installing this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=92201) hack

I have uploaded the plugin, and for the life of me can't find anywhere where that second page is-Is ANYONE able to help please?

Cheers

You should really just ask in the thread and wait for a reply. Not all authors can help in just a few hours. Read amy's sig btw. ;)

I have, but from previous experience it could be days, more like weeks before I get a reply, and far more helpful people will be able to help in here-

Cheers

Site feedback is not really the best place to ask - support for hacks is best done in the hacks thread. :)

Please read my above post, I am really needing this hack functioning as soon as possible, and don't really wish to wait a few months for the support when it will get seen in here far easier "/

We discussed this in another thread earlier and this is the exact point I was trying to make. The users feel as if they are obligated to getting support on their time. If you can't wait for the support, don't install the modifications!

If you can't wait for the support, don't install the modification! Also, as stated several times already, this is a feedback area and not a support forum! So "for CRYING out loud, post in the right forum and correct thread...then WAIT!

With the restructuring of the Staff at the present time, Amy is very busy with others things that are, believe it or not, more pressing right now. Posting in the thread for this hack will get you far better results than posting anywhere else. Have you read through the whole thread to see if your problem has already been addressed? That is the first place I would start. Be patient, please.

I don't mean to be +++++y, but you posted your question today and are already PMing Amy (despite her sig) and snarking about waiting for "a few months"??? When you could've just read the (three page) thread and gotten your answer immediately? Good grief, dude, you gotta be a little more enterprising than that. I've never even installed the hack and was able to find the solution in under ten minutes.

In fact, you could try reading the whole hack thread in the first place. The answer was on page 2. I posted the response there (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=981428&postcount=83) so that others can see it.

I'm a noncoder who's pretty busy too, but I can't imagine installing a hack and not reading the entire support thread for it. It's a good habit to get into. In addition to finding answers to questions you may have, you can also often find useful tips or customizations.

When I made my post above asking you to post in the correct forum, that was before this thread had been moved here. It was sitting in the feedback area when i made that post.

As Kira posted, the response to your question is where it belongs...in the support thread.

Looks like we posted at the same time. lol
