I've purchased a commercial skin a while ago and have altered about everything for the latest release of my website. I've made the changes in the database in the "style" table, since the style manager seemed to revert back to normal everytime i tried to change something. However, i have noticed that the colours listed in the style manager are still the old ones, even though the website looks completely different now.
Another issue is that when installing new products\hacks, the style reverts back to its former state. What is causing this, and how can i make my style changes final?

Stop modifing the table directly ;) its not a good idea.

well, as said before...when i altered colours in the style manager and saved the progress, it would still list the old colours\settings. When making a change in the style manager after the first set of saved changes, those changes are all lost after saving for the second time
no matter if i use the style manager or db table to change the template, it keeps remembering the old settings. Even after saving template changes in the style manager, it will still list the old colours when returning to the style manager...
is there no way to just delete the old template history or whatever is needed?

are you sure you weren't changing the style colors of the default style...while your forum is set to use a different style?

nope..i changed one style, named applied. The styles are listed by name in the database too, so i'm sure i changed just that.
the website looks ok and all changes i made are shown when selecting the applied skin...however, the style manager still shows the old colours of the applied skin. As a result, when i change something in the style manager all the old colours will come back...same happens when installing hacks. It's driving me mad.
