NevrotikS,
You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to download hacks and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php) (vB-germany users click here (http://members.vbulletin-germany.com/membersupport_priority.php)) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed.
You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive. The update of your account may take up to one hour.
Thank you.

Do you have a button "post unlicensed message" or do you really copy/paste it everytime you have to post it?
Just curious :)

i've wondered the same thing, as everytime a mod posts it, it's an identical message, lol

It's a preset message, as mentioned in previous discussions on the same subject. :)

1 button click.
And i still don't understand why we have to use it so often, since all unlicensed users (should) have a big red text in the top explaining they are unlicensed.

*lol*
I never saw that :D When I first registered I already did it with my vb.com regged eMail, hehee....
But that's something I notice every single day when dealing with ppl, they usually don't want to see or read any kind of signs/notices....

Privacy issues maybe?

dunno, just thought it'd be convient for members or atleast coders to see who is liscensed and who isnt. Alot of hacks and vBulletin itself is highly pirated via newsgroups, and p2p networks along with every single hack from 3.0.x days to 3.5.3 (last time i checked the file).
Which also means that alot of these people probably make their way here, and find the thread and ask for support?

AFAIK they can't post anywhere if they're not licensed.
Except one or two section in the "vb.org" categorie (like this one).
So it's pretty safe to says who's posting in my release threads is licensed, isn't it???
(I hope it is....)

Yes the license status is not disclosed to our members for privacy reasons.

Yes the license status is not disclosed to our members for privacy reasons.I've always thought that a bit strange, since unlicenced members always get met with the standard message (so we know they are unlicenced), and only licenced members can post in the main forums (so we know they are licenced) - so peoples status is not really private or secret at all. :)

Unlicensed members will not get the standard message, unless they are trying to get support.

I think somewhere in the standard message it should state that if the person has general pre-sale questions (regarding modifications here at vB.org) then that he/she can go to the appropriate forum and ask there (provides link to Pre-Sales Questions forum).

Yes it sometimes happens that a Staff member is not aware of the section in which the post is made, or that people try to get support in the Pre-Sales section.
Happened to me also.

Which is fine. :) I kinda feel for these potential customers who are asking questions within vB.org's guidelines.
