nice style, not over bright, but certainly not dark.

The guest box is far, far, far too big IMO. Use some announcements or a news forum with most of that information in. Search engines read the first x characters on a page and place that in there engine, so all you are going to get is your guest message.

You say you couldn't port from proboards. Did you look into IMPEX or enquire at vB.com about this?
