View Full Version : Signature Legend, New Signature Look
Signature Legend
By: AN-net
Rewrite by: Infantrymen
Easy, 1-5 mins
This will add a simple legend and members username around each members signature. Organize and make signatures look personalized for each user, easily.
(Note: this adds the border, curved corners, and "username's sig:" around the users signature.)
Thanks AN-net for coming up with this and letting me re-release it with a few changes... :)
If you use it please click INSTALL. Thanks :banana:

ok I have installed but i have a prob.
On my screen it shows up as being black, but on a number of my forum users it showing up as white. Why would it be doing that?

It's the browser, it shows up like it should on IE, I have not tested it on firefox (never use it). It is white on your site and looks good to me.. ;)

Is there any way to make it show up right on all browsers...I installed and it looks good to me, but i dont use FireFox so i dont know if it will show wrong or not. Either way, i want it to show right to everyone...Thanks -
Lady Divus
Edit: Tested it on another PC using FireFox and it works fine. Shows the way it was intended except for the corners are not rounded anymore but square. Still looks good though...Thank you for this, very nice -

Thanks and glad it works for you. Not really possible to get it to should up the same in all browsers...

Well it looks black on my screen and looks a heck of a lot better than white.
I think its the fieldset paramater as i tried putting a fieldset around some stuff in the postbit and it has done the same thing. Can I assign a color for the border and can also assign a color for the writing? eg loonytune's sig:
Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I hvae vbplaza installed and have changed my usertitle to black, would that change something to make the border's look black?

You can change the color of the text by changing it in the style:
Go to AdminCP => Styles & Templates, Style Manager => All Style options 'GO' => (part way down in CSS area) <legend> => Font Color => Save CSS
The color of the fieldset border is defined by the style (usually same color as the text). You could try adding CSS for it in the "Additional CSS Definitions" (.fieldset) area. You'll need to try different attributes to it to see if you can make it work (I'll leave you to figure it out...).
It's most likely something is effecting it for you (browser or something else...). I see your signature on your site with a white border... ;)
Here is an example of what you can add.... (again, you'll need to play with it so see what works for you)
.fieldset { margin-bottom: 6px;
border: 1px solid #DA0000;
}
.fieldset, .fieldset td, .fieldset p, .fieldset li { font-size: 11px; }
I've update this post about 10 times adding more info. :p LOL
