Clicky the linky called Modifications on the navbar and you will find them.
They haven't vanished, just been moved.
Note To Staff: Perhaps a global announcement below the navbar is in order about this? Ideally collaspable then those who know don't have to see it all the time.

I am struggling to understand the logic of hiding away the hack/mod forums, they are what most people come here for (aren't they ?) - and now they are hard to find unless you know where to look.

I agree about the announcement about it :)
The idea was to reduce the cluttering and forums on the main page, which in itself was causing it's own problems :)

Right here you go.
Don't say I never give you nothing.
You can change the text if you want, but I think it does the job OK.
Bang this right at the bottom of the navbar template
<table width="100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td class="thead" align="center">
<a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('announcement')"><img id="collapseimg_announcement" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_thead$vbcollapse[collapseimg_anouncement].gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
<b>vBulletin.org Modifications Announcement</b>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
<tbody id="collapseobj_announcement" style="$vbcollapse[collapseobj_announcement]">
<tr>
<td class="alt1" width="100%"><p>All modifications have now been moved to their own section of the site. To access the modifications, please click either the modifications tab or link in the navbar.</p>
<p>This announcement can be collapsed when you have read it.</p></td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>

After a short while,
I HATE THIS MODIFICATIONS TAB, I MISS LATEST POSTS FROM MODS. FORUMS.
They still show as normal via the new posts button in the navbar and still come up on searches.
The only way I knew they were gone was coz I saw a thread about it which prompted my first visit to the forumhome in probably the whole year so far.
