View Full Version : How to use wysiwyg editor in custom forms? Form functions?

I'm new to VB. My experience is with Drupal, which is good for what it does, but not for what I want accomplished.

I've begun programming a few of my own custom plugins/pages for my vb site. Right now I'm using pure html for my forms because I can't figure out the built in VB functions for forms.

The functions to display the forms will be in an "include" file, so I imagine I need to do some sort of magic in order to use the built in functions. Can anyone give me a basic run down (or point me towards a tutorial) on how to display a simple form using VB functions? If someone can show me how to do one textarea and one text field I could probably figure it out from there.

Also, how do I use the wysiwyg editor on my text areas? How do I "filter" text to display BBcode, smilies, etc. when it is being displayed?

MIght have found some answers, but I'm still hoping someone will help.

Oh yeah...

I'm having exactly the same problem... could anyone help us please?
I think this would be a VERY handy plugin or whatever it would be... probably just some small lines of code ^^

(Btw: I've already found out how to parse messages that are already in BBcode. But I also need to create newsposts and comments for my news system and don't like to use another Editor)

Thanks,
Jasper
