How do you ban a member fully off a forum?

iv banned a member, but he can log in, and send a PM and search for threads and read normal posts.. he just cant post anything. Iv checked the options and its all on NO apart from 1 thing i cant remember.

i need to know how to ban the fool so that yes he can log in, but is trapped... cant send pm cant view nothing at all apart from logging out again... ??

is something near enuff that out there? or some sort of usergroup adjustment??

Set his usergroup to banned and block his IP. Make sure "this is a banned usergroup" is checked off.

last time i blocked an IP address it caused loads of trouble, loads of people have the same IP address... NTL users etc.. i duno i had complaints from people i dont even know.

NTL users etc.. i duno i had complaints from people i dont even know.Then install the proxy to real IP hack, which was developed specifically because we are an ntl forum, and needed the real ip, not the ntl proxy ip :)
