the PHP version has an integrated tracker while the XBT version requires SSH access to install XBT tracker backend(tons more efficient)

sure thing, yeah i couldn't figure out what else to do so i just eliminated the size field from query to stop the error.

the temporary fix for that untill i can find another way to do it is

Find in VBTT Functions Include plugin :

Like i said this is just a temporary fix to remove those errors untill I can eliminate problem. The progress bars will not work once this is done, again temporary.

I had to change size to filesize.

hum yeah that would work, never thought of that altho its not reporting the size I need, the actual size of the files in the torrent should be there, hence the size query. filesize is the size of the .torrent attachment.

Hopefully somebody can possibly figure out a workaround for the ambiguious size field error. I'm fresh outta ideas on that one.

I get the correct size of the files in the dropdown menu. But the size of the torrent is correct as they are usually only a a few kb. I hope that makes sense to you.

Example: The torrent file I am using is 22kb which is correct in my postbit.
In the dropdown for torrent info it shows a list of files. The one metioned above has one file which is 1.88GB which is correct.

So any idea why my stats wont update? It wont show me seeding when I am. Also the site Im doing this on has thousand of zip attachments. Every one of them shows a torrent stats section under the zips. Very annoying. Im using XBT not PHP. Tommorrow Id like to catch you on MSN or something. I have some thoughts for you.

I am also hard at work on a torrent tracker that wont rely on the forums and attachment systems. My torrent tracker will have unpresidented control over every aspect of it. As well as advanced reporting advanced perm controls and so much more. You will have the ability to ban users from downloading certain torrents as well as torrents in certain categories and so much more.

Not to mention ability to ban users from downloading torrents due to bad ratio and allow them to seed only.

No problem at all bud. BTW we managed to fix all known bugs including the Division By Zero error. That error occurs when using mysql older than 5.0.20 but we found a work around for it. It was cool to help out Will on this. The Vbulletin tracker works better than any of the other out there. I know because Ive used them all. Im only speaking for the XBT version that hasnt been released yet.

Yes this is for 3.6.x versions only.
What a torrent tracker does is it manages torrent downloads thru your vbulletin forum, allowing you to post new torrents by attaching them as a normal attachment. As far as bandwidth goes, I have made VBTT 3 for XBT to be as lean as possible and it uses existing db tables rather than using extra tables. It also has a lot of visual features that would pertain to a torrent tracker(uploaded/downloaded, ratio, ul/dl speeds, etc)

There are missing phrases in the admin panel under "Display Tracker History". Also, in order to show the navbar link, I am also forced to display the "Display_VBTT_Navbar" template. I do not want this across the top of my header so I deleted the contents of that template. It would be nice if that were an option. :) I have some users who will post torrents today so we can complete testing.

those werent my forums, the old owner of VBTT set that up, he has since transferred the project to me and my support is over at http://torrenttrader.org forums along with all my other VBTT support forums.
For the passkey error you need to enable the navbar so you can click reset passkey once, then download the torrent again and it should give you your key, if not clear your cookies/internet cache including offline files and try once more.

Everything is running good for over a week on my site now. I do get " Error: Unregistered Torrent Pass" sometimes and it cant be rectified. I dont know why and havnt had any luck yet. Right now its just 2 members who have had the issue. I even manually put they're passkey in and it didnt work. I am working on finding out why though.
Im also thinking of making an admin script to assign a passkey to all the members.
I think part of the problem with the Unreg pass error is with aol users somehow. It could be because of the way AOL assigns IP addresses.

Since I am helping trying to help figure out this problem I would like to know some more details so we can figure it out.

What is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Ex. AOL

Are you running any proxies or anonymizers?

also, as far as the installation of XBT goes (which I believe is a separate product, right? a standalone tracker?) I am on a VPS and have root/ssh access to my portion of that server but I am not sure if I need any more access priviledges to install both XBT and VBTT... do I?

correct, i have included the xbt because it is customised source specifically made for VBTT 3 for XBT v1.0 FINAL. It includes speeds support, client ban and who shatched support, all of which are not included in stock XBT tracker

well, good news... I just upgraded to 3.6.2 and will be adding that 3.6x version of VBTT soon... (amazingly enough, no major problems with plugins and products switching over to 3.6.2!)

so far my XBT version of VBTT 3 is running nice on several large sites. Give it a try if you have SSH install/execute privlidges on your server.

I just want to put my styles on a torrent and allow everyone to download them.
I'd like to be able to place a link in the post that when clicked, the torrent would start downloading.

The only one that used to be active is the one that toolmanwill posted, but I believe its been since abandoned. To date there are no other torrent trackers for vBulletin available that I know if. There are independent trackers that can be used outside of vBulletin but you would probably have to spend a little money to get a developer to create a one login site.

If you have knowledge of PHP you maybe able to get this to work properly on your site. http://sourceforge.net/projects/vbtt/ its free for download and integrates with vBulletin.

There is a vB4 version of that mod just try doing a Google search for vBitty or VBTT for vbulletin 4.
