Hey guyz...

I run the Commodore Life Car Club forums.

The forums are based on the Holden Commodore, technical articles, how-to's, and other information. Although you don't have to be a commodore nut to find something to do on here...

I would appriciate it if people could come on and have a look and give me any feedback.

Thanks guyz,
Kurt

First impressions - OMG. Buts that simply coz I can't read light text on dark backgrounds. Lucilky I found a style chooser at the bottom.

So, ignoring your default style for the above reason.

Style fromBasics Light (http://www.commodorelife.com/forums/?styleid=8)

1. You haven't removed your guest message from the forumhome template so you have two lots of the welcome message resulting in an ARG:3 UNDEFINDED error in the standard welcome message.

2. Otherwise nice clean style.

Again, the other styles I can't comment on as they are Black/Dark backgrounds.

A nice change to have a dark backgrounded site with a light alternative though. Some sites just have the dark and that is an instant close the browser and go away message for some people.

Finally, if you don't want to have the default style available for users to use then you can deselect that one in the style manager and still select the others which are child styles. Just a little hint there, as some people don't realise that the parent style doesn't have to be visable.

Commodore? Don't you mean GTO, or Monaro? :) Just kidding mate... nice rides... however the colors are a little off for me.

Commodore is the 'Australian' term... We've also got the Monaro [sported up commodore], but don't have the GTO, that's an Americian thing ;) We've got HSV's ;)

There's multiple skins in the choser mate :D

Where is the VE section?

I'd like something less cluttered as default...other than that good start.

the VE isn't out yet

we've got a thread of VE pics, but why have another section if you'd be struggling for content ;)

and less cluttered in what respect? the skin, or the forum organisation?

thanks for your opinions :D

the default skin is cluttered, in my opinion.

There are quite a few VE spy pics ... it should be out soon right? The production cycle must of different from the North American Car market. There were no VE's are the Melbourne motorshow this past February when I was there.

Um, no offense, it *Edit*. needs lots of work. Header is to *Del* awful and large. And you're for the most part using the defualt style.

Well... at least I like the car. :)

I see you are using different colours per usergroup. I would at least have a usergroup legend as it's hard to tell what usergroup colour equals which usergroup - apart from the red for administrators that is.
