Hello,

I am looking for a mod which will make a recent posts feature like on ProBoards.

See example here: >>CLICKY<< (http://tms24.proboards40.com/index.cgi?action=recent)

In other words, allow people to read the most recently posted INDIVIDUAL posts on the forum, say about 15 of them.

I was thinking this could perhaps be done by manipulating the 'View Single Post' feature?

Thanks :)

There are old hacks that did this but I would get yourself vBa instead...

The preview you show is like vBa does news...
I use latest topics more...

Oh yea, vBa is free

Thanks. I have vBA anyway, I will see if I can play around with a new page and get it to work :)

Nah, won't work. VBAdvanced shows only the first post of a thread. :(

Nah, won't work. VBAdvanced shows only the first post of a thread. :(

Here is my site... that main page is 90% original vBA:

http://www.timeshareforums.com

Following is another domain that I just portal out recent posts to for now...

http://www.timeshare-holidays.com/

The second site is 100% vBA

You just don't have your settings right! Look at the vBA manual as there is a ton of stuff you can do with vBA... otherwise, I have not seen a 3.5. Newest Post hack as frankly most people use vBa to do that so it isn't as needed JMHO

Good Luck!

Recent or new post I mean that's the same thing.
What do you mean with "Recent posts" exactly?

What I mean is that say I replied to a thread, then my post would appear in it's entirety at the top of a recent posts page, not just a link to the thread I have added the reply to.

I have played around with vBA and still can't get it to display anything other than the thread starter.
