Noobie Needs Elp with Basic Layout!

Hi guys!

Would like some help on two things

1) Thread Layout
2) Forum Layout

1) Thread Layout

How would i go about grouping the Handle/Avatar/post count etc to the left indent in a box, and the normal posts in another on the right indent?

For example:

XXXYYYYYYY
XXXYYYYYYY
XXXYYYYYYY

X = avatar/handle/post counts
Y = normal post space

i see the horizontal two box format alot in other forums and i feels its more homely then the standard left to right stretched text (such as this forum). im sorry i cant post an example here as im not allowed to post links here until i have 5 posts o_O

2) Forum Layout

How would i go about embedding the forum within my own website?

For example:

XXXXXXX
YYZZZZZ
YYZZZZZ
YYZZZZZ

X = Forum logo, Banner Ad
Y = Quick Links
Z = vbulletin forum

Really new at this and i have been reading thread after thread without success..! Would really appreciate a slight push in the right direction!
