try increasing your cookie timeout, thats usually the cuplrit.
[Sneaky tip] If you know it is going to probably be longer than your cookie timeout, open another browser page and sit on the WOL page, the auto refesh keeps you logged in :)

my cookies timeout is at 900. what would be a good number to change this to?

try 1800 (30 mins) or even 3600 (60 mins)

Isn't there a hack that will keep your post intact if you get logged out while posting?

Hmm. I'll have to search back and find it.
I've checked your Service Request, Scrolls. You have a nice site there. :) Currently I'm concentrating on my site so I don't have the time to devote to another project at the moment. I thought I'd might be up-front.

Not for vB. You've just posted your request so hopefully someone who's qualified and able will reply. :)

I believe scott (dev) added some new functionality into 3.5.4 to prevent losing your posts.
However logging in and checking remember me fixes the entire issue.

i thought that only remembers you when u get off the site and come back on, so you dont have to log on every time you visit?

Remember Me sets a cookie to let yous tay logged in indeifnatly, unless you click log out. (or clear your cookies)
If you do not check remember me, after you session times out (by default 15 min from your last click on a page (so 900 seconds)) you are not logged in and will be forced to login again before you can post.
